By 1950 the hall had again fallen into disrepair and this time there was to be no reprieve, and it was sold for
demolition. After the hall was demolished the site was open cast mined, removing any remaining traces. All that remains today is the "Summer House or "Temple" as it was
sometimes known. As you can sec from the pictures the Summer House is now itself deteriorating badly and Mirfield may soon loose one of its familiar landmarks.
